(Monthly Special Project)

Many Children being placed in children's homes by court order do not know the joy of holding a birthday celebration to appreciate their existence. We want to make them feel special and definitely worth a celebration no matter what. Whenever possible we encourage our volunteers to spend some time with the children at the home during the celebrations.

We attach a sponsor with a children's home to supply the required number of birthday cakes (personalized with the right number of candles), the decorations and the buffet spread. The staff of the sponsoring company will plan and facilitate interactive activities with the children. The presents for the respective birthday kids of the month are being provided for by Food from the Heart. (Toys from the Heart programme)

Currently there are 6 children's home where by we are running the monthly birthday parties for 2011.

Note: Interested volunteers are required to be committed to a home for at least 6 months. In general, birthday parties are held on weekdays, usually in the late afternoon for about an hour or two, or so.
